Use a very small amount on wet skin.

Massage gently with light circular movements.

Avoid the eye area.

Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

Body Scrub

Massage onto damp skin using circular movements.
Use firmer pressure on rougher areas such as hands, elbows, knees and heels.
Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

IMPORTANT.- Do not use on broken, irritated, inflamed or freshly shaved skin. Perform a patch test before first use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

A traditional material of the Kenyan coast,
reimagined as a mineral polish.

Coral limestone — often known along the coast as coral stone — has long been part of the built environment of Lamu and the Kenyan coast. It has traditionally been used in coastal architecture, walls and construction, forming part of the material identity of the Swahili Coast.

 

Natural Lamu does not harvest living coral reefs for this scrub. The coral powder used in this formula comes from quarry-sourced coral limestone material. It is cleaned, dried and finely ground before being incorporated into the scrub as a physical exfoliant.

 

Its texture is what makes the product special: dense, mineral and beach-sand-like, with a polishing feel that is active but not harsh.

 

For us, this ingredient connects the product directly to Lamu — not through decoration or storytelling alone, but through a real coastal material traditionally used in the place where Natural Lamu was born.

This is not a simple sugar or salt scrub. It is a dense mineral polish suspended in a nourishing butter-and-oil base,

FINE CORAL POWDER

The signature mineral exfoliant behind the scrub’s dense, beach-sand-like texture. It provides satisfying physical exfoliation and helps smooth rough-feeling skin on both face and body.

SHEA BUTTER

A rich botanical butter that gives the formula body, comfort and softness. It cushions the mineral polish and helps leave skin feeling supple, conditioned and not stripped.

BAOBAB OIL INFUSED WITH PAPAYA SEEDS

Baobab oil is slowly infused with papaya seeds before being added to the formula. It helps the scrub glide comfortably across damp skin and supports a soft, smooth after-feel.

BAOBAB FRUIT POWDER

A finely milled African botanical powder that complements the coral mineral texture. It adds to the scrub’s natural, creamy-polishing feel and strengthens its East African botanical identity.

CONDITIONING PLANT-BASED EMULSIFIER

BTMS helps bring the botanical oils, butters and mineral powder together into a rich, creamy-polishing texture. It improves glide, rinse-off and skin feel, helping the scrub leave skin soft and conditioned.

CASTOR OIL

A rich plant oil used in Natural Lamu skincare formulas for body and comfort. It adds glide, softness and a conditioned finish.

COCOA BUTTER

Used in a small quantity to support the richness and texture of the formula. It contributes to the soft, nourishing feel of the scrub.

SUPPORTING INGREDIENTS

Corn starch, arrowroot, soy lecithin and tocopherol vitamin E.

They soften the scrub’s texture, supports a silky glide and helps protect the oils for lasting freshness.

YLANG YLANG ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND

Ylang ylang is softened with lavender and lifted by bergamot for a floral, fresh and balanced scent. They transform the scrub into a warm, sensorial skincare ritual.

Ylang ylang gives the formula its rich floral character, bergamot adds brightness, and lavender softens the scent with a clean, gentle finish.

PACKAGED WITH PURPOSE

The Luxury of Nature, from the first touch.

Natural Lamu Fine Coral Powder Scrub is presented in an aluminium tin inside a kraft paper carton box. We choose this packaging because it reflects our idea of natural luxury: simple materials, thoughtful presentation and a closer connection to the environment that inspires our products.

 

Plastic waste is a visible problem along the shores and beaches of the Indian Ocean, including Lamu. For us, reducing unnecessary plastic is part of our responsibility as a brand born on the coast.

 

We use aluminium because it is lightweight, durable, reusable and recyclable where suitable systems exist. We avoid glass for this product because it is heavier, more fragile and requires more protective packaging, especially for an island-made product transported beyond Lamu.

 

The kraft paper carton gives the scrub a natural, giftable presentation. It protects the tin, elevates the unboxing experience and carries the image of Natural Lamu: nature, craft, texture and care.

 

For us, luxury does not need to mean excess. Nature can be luxurious in a quieter, more honest way.
